Studio Quantum at CTM Festival

CTM und Studio Quantum vom Goethe-Institut Irland freuten sich, eine Reihe von Gesprächen und bahnbrechenden Performances rund um Quantentechnologien und Musik am 2. Februar 2024 im Radialsystem Berlin zu präsentieren.

Die Musik des 21. Jahrhunderts verändert sich durch Künstliche Intelligenz, neue Arten von Computern, Interfaces, und nun insbesondere durch Quantencomputer. Bei der CTM erlebten Festivalbesuchende eine Reihe von Gesprächen, Performances und tauchten in die Welt der Quantenklänge ein. 

Die Veranstaltung war kostenlos und alle Kunst-, Technologie-, und Musikinteressierten waren herzlich willkommen!

Am 2. Februar 2024 eröffnete Prof. Oliver Benson (Humboldt-Universität) den Nachmittag mit einer aufschlussreichen Einführung in Quantentechnologien. Danach beleuchtete er gemeinsam mit Prof. Gesche Joost (Universität der Künste Berlin) die Schnittstellen zwischen Quantentechnologien und Kreativität.

Prof. Eduardo Miranda (ICCMR, Universität Plymouth) und seine Kollegen sprachen über ihre Forschung zur Nutzung von Quantencomputern zur Erschaffung von Musik. Er präsentierte außerdem die Technologie, die er für seine Performance später am Abend nutzte.

Studio Quantum Residenzkünstlerin Edy Fung und Musiker/Komponist Muiredach O’Riain führten gemeinsam ein neues Werk vor, das im Rahmen von Edys Residenz entstanden war. 

Später am Abend kehrte Eduardo Reck Miranda für ein Quantum Computer Music Konzert mit Federico Visi, Maria Aguado, Paulo Itaborai, Dino Vicente, Pete Thomas und Colin Harrington auf die Bühne zurück und präsentierte bahnbrechende Systeme und Performances, die von seinem Team am Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research (ICCMR) in Plymouth, Großbritannien, entwickelt wurden.
