Duto Hardono is a conceptual artist, musician, and educator based in Bandung, Indonesia. Originally trained in painting, his practice traverses the two-dimensionality of collages and drawings into the dynamic incorporation of readymade materials such as everyday objects, old musical instruments, records, and cassette tapes in his installations and performances. He further extends his practice to composing instructional scores that are actualised by actors and interpreters.

In 2010 he started a private label, which become the artistic platform Hasana Editions in 2017. The label focuses on archiving aural production and sound-based art practices while also building international connections between contemporary musicians and sound artists, conceptual artists, media artists, and performance artists.

Hardono has participated in numerous international solo and group exhibitions including: Biennale Jogja XII Equator #2: Not A Dead End, Jogja National Museum, Indonesia (2013) and The 9th Shanghai Biennale: Reactivation, Bandung Pavilion for Intercity Pavilion, China (2012). Solo exhibitions include Klab Lucifer, Ark Gallery, Indonesia (2014) and Good Love, Bad Joke, Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, Indonesia (2010). He was nominated for the Asia Awards Young Creator Grand Prix at Tokyo Designers Week in 2014.
