Are we living in a time of deepening conflict and polarisation?

To what extent are conflicts in a democracy positive? How can we respect each other more? We invite you to the launch of the new issue of the revue Prostor on the topic of social conflicts and polarizations, curated this time by philosopher and expert on hate speech Tomáš Koblížek.

In addition to general probes into the nature of culture wars, populism or political correctness, we offer insights into topics as diverse as social networks, the manosphere, post-communism, transgender identity, wolves in Broumov region or assisted dying.

We also bring foreign insights into the heated situation in Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Estonia and Lithuania. The event will be attended by activist Lenka Králová, journalist Apolena Rychlíková, and theatre director Ivan Buraj. The musical component and poetry will be performed by Karel Škrabal, Elena Pecenová, Barbora Sebera and Jaroslav Škvarna. The evening will be accompanied by Anna Luňáková, Ondřej Macl, Martin Doucha & Marina V. Šternová.
