13th Edition
The 13th edition of the Science Film Festival in Myanmar took place from November 20 to December 20 in a hybrid format. A total of 56 in-person screenings were held across Yangon, Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Maubin, and Pathein, organized by Myanmar YMCA and the Goethe-Institut Myanmar. More than 6,700 children and students attended these screenings, with an additional 1,500 students participating during the STEM Fair at Brainworks-Total Group of Schools, bringing total participation to over 8,200.

The festival featured 14 films tailored to different age groups, with 9 films dubbed into local languages and the remainder shown with English subtitles. The program emphasized sustainability and environmental awareness through film screenings, discussions, and interactive activities. The festival’s success was made possible by the dedication of volunteers, educators, and partner organizations. By engaging Myanmar’s youth with science and environmental topics, the festival continues to inspire curiosity and promote scientific learning.
