Under the challenges of the current situation in Myanmar, the Science Film Festival in Myanmar celebrated its 11th Edition from November 25 to December 10, 2022. Organized by Goethe-Institut Myanmar, the festival was held in close cooperation with its longstanding partners: the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Yangon, Brainworks-Total Group of Schools, the National Council of YMCAs of Myanmar and with the support of Thingaha Gender Organization, Zee Kwat Academy, Thate Pan Hub Enterprises, Thate Pan Hub, Thate Pan Institute, MEC - Miracle Education Centre, CCA - Clean Canvas Academy, MCFB - Myanmar Christian Fellowship of the Blind, Yangon Blind School, Glovice, ALC and the active participation of social organizations, centers for the disabled children, child development centers, as well as the enthusiasm of educators and volunteers who facilitated the screenings and activities.

The soft opening of the festival was held together with the Science, STEAM, ICT & Math Fair 2022 of Brainworks-Total Group of Schools on the November 25, 2022. In addition to the in-person and online screenings, the organizing team could also offer special programs such as the Language Trial Classes for German and Thai, Coding Classes and the sharing sessions of Study in Germany and Study in Thailand programs. A selection of 13 films were screened during in-person and virtual screenings in Myanmar and reached over 2 300 participants in 2022.
