Pia and Wild Nature - Diving into the Sea Grass Meadow

Pia explores a seagrass meadow off the coast of Italy - an exciting habitat that most people hardly notice. Yet it is called the "nursery of the sea" and is enormously important for the protection of our coasts and our climate. Above and below the water, Pia takes a close look at a wide variety of creatures that specialize for life in the seagrass thicket. While doing so, she discovers how closely the animals here are interwoven and how they can be better protected in the future - from the cute, rice-grain-sized green velvet snail to the elegant loggerhead turtle.
