Jazmín Acuña

Jazmín Acuña is a Paraguayan journalist, co-founder and editorial director of El Surti, a media outlet specialized in visual journalism. On her team, she promotes in-depth coverage of the climate crisis, gender inequality, and the phenomenon of misinformation. In 2018, she won the Gabriel García Márquez Journalism Award in Innovation for her series about deforestation in the Paraguayan Chaco region. In 2020, she was part of a regional investigative collaboration led by El Clip, on the advance of fundamentalist religious groups in Latin America, which received the Ortega & Gasset Award. Jazmín is also a member of the Global Investigative Journalism Network.
