Steve Inskeep

Steve Inskeep is a host of Morning Edition at U.S. public radio network NPR, as well as its news podcast, Up First. The Indiana native is based in Washington, D.C., but has hosted the morning show from New Orleans, Detroit, San Francisco, Cairo and Beijing, among other places. He received a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Silver Baton prize. Inskeep is a prolific author and his latest book, Differ We Must: How Lincoln Succeeded in a Divided America, comes out in October 2023.
