Anita Ekman

Anita Ekman is a visual artist, independent researcher on the history of tropical forests and curator of the project “Cosmoperceptions of the Forest” (Goethe-Institut Rio de Janeiro). She is working to build a collaborative network between artists, scientists, indigenous thinkers and their communities by critically examining Brazilian collections created in museums in the northern hemisphere in the 19th century to create a different global imagination of the forest and its peoples.
