Emilija Đonin holds a master's degree in art and media theory from the University of Arts in Belgrade and a master's degree in performing arts – piano from the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade. Her practice combines composition, performance, writing and theoretical research with a focus on identity, body and gender issues. She participated in the Goethe-Institut project ‘Inequality as Practice’ (2021–2023) and composes music for dance and theatre pieces as well as visual works. She plays synthesizer, guitar and sings in several bands, including Phony Job, Iva Lorens and KOIKOI. Her inspiration: the human body in the context of body politics, inner processes and perception.
