Redefining library services: responding to the economic downturn is the title of the 7th international conference organized by the Committee for the Support of Libraries and held at the National Hellenic Research Foundation on October 6-7, 2011. Participating speakers from Greece, Germany, the United States, Italy and the Netherlands described the problems of the libraries caused by the financial crisis, presented examples and made suggestions in order libraries maintain quality services to their users. The number of onsite attendees was 186 and 133 online visitors watched the video streaming.
