Music Education

Germany and Austria have a long tradition in classical music and brought up some of the most popular composers and musicians of all times.

Especially during 18th and 19th century the German-Austrian music-culture was mainly dominating in Europe and shaping the audience’s taste in music. Artists like Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Brahms still have left us an enormous artistic heritage that is kept alive by those who are able to conduct and play their music.

Therefore this huge amount of music-knowledge is being transported by teachers training their students in different music schools in Germany. The big German conservatories are located in the cultural and urban centers such as Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne and of course Berlin. Even though the common taste in music has changed in the last centuries there still is a big community of fans loving classical music spread all over the country.
