The Goethe-Institut New York does not offer language courses in its Fifth Avenue location.
The language program center Deutsches Haus at New York University has conducted language courses since the late 1970’s in close cooperation with the Goethe-Institut New York and is a licensed examination center of the Goethe-Institut.
Courses at all levels as well as private lessons, instructed by native German teachers, are offered at Deutsches Haus.
Learning content and methodology at Deutsches Haus correspond to the latest developments and knowledge in language education and acquisition. This is guaranteed by the frequent participation of the teaching staff in continuing education events and seminars at the Goethe-Institut in New York and its central office in Munich.
Course content not only includes language study, but also social and cultural studies, information about political, industrial, social and cultural life in Germany.
