VA Wölfl / NEUER TANZ

Since the mid-eighties, VA Wölfl has directed the company NEUER TANZ, based in Schloss Benrath in Düsseldorf.
VA Wölfl studied Painting at the Academy Salzburg with Oskar Kokoschka and was awarded the Honorary Prize of the City of Salzburg. He completed his studies in Photography at the Folkwang University Essen with Otto Steinert and Willi Fleckhaus.

He has been awarded the World-Wide-Video-Award (Den Haag, 1982) and others. In 1995, he received the 1st German Producers' Prize for Choroegraphy (1995) and the Critics' Prize in 2006. In 2007, he was accepted as a member of the Academy of the Arts, Berlin. In 2008, VA Wölfl was nominated in the category "Best Choreography" for the German theatre prize DER FAUST.
