This glossary explains frequently used terms relating to the language/integration nexus and guides you through the apparent complexities of the relevant concepts and terminology.

Intensivkurs (Intensive Courses)

Intensive courses are designed for well-educated participants who are accustomed to classroom-based learning and are able to achieve the learning target of the language courses (i.e. level B1) iin less than 600 hours of instruction. Participants can complete the integration course after just 400 hours of German language instruction plus the orientation course (30 lessons). The intensive courses account for a very small proportion (0.13 %) of all integration courses (as at: 02.01.2012).
