STUDENT - FREELANCE OPPORTUNITY – GRANT SUPPORT for the EU-FUNDED PROJECT ‘CULTURE MOVES EUROPE’

About Culture Moves Europe
The Goethe-Institut manages the mobility scheme Culture Moves Europe, which is fully funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme. Between 2025 and 2028, Culture Moves Europe will award 7,000 mobility grants to artists and cultural professionals across all Creative Europe countries.
Key activities of the Culture Moves Europe project include:

  • Implementing and managing two sub granting schemes: (1) Call for Individual Mobility targeting artists and cultural professionals willing to implement a project in a different country and (2) the Call for Residency Hosts targeting legal entities willing to host from 1 to 5 artists for a longer duration to implement a residency project. 
  • Developing outreach, visibility and support activities to ensure the scheme is widely known and clearly understood by potential applicants, and relevant stakeholders, considering cross cutting issues such as environmental sustainability and. inclusion


Your role
The Culture Moves Europe is looking for freelancers, to support the ‘Grant Team’.
Currently composed of 8 full-staff members, the Grant team is the first contact point for applicants/grantees and manages various tasks throughout the grant cycle (from the application stage until final reporting). 
Under the responsibility and supervision of the Senior Grant Coordinators, and together with the other grant officers, the tasks will include:  

  • Liaise digitally with applicants and beneficiaries regarding their specific questions (email, Goethe-Application portal); 
  • Applications eligibility checks (on the Goethe-Application portal)
  • Review grantees’ activity reports (on the Goethe-Application portal)
  • Support with other grant related tasks (based on needs) such as notifications, creation and distribution of grant agreements, monitoring of mobility status; visa support letter; online events support, etc. 


Experience, skills and qualifications: what are we looking for
The Goethe-Institut offers a freelance contract designed for students.
The candidates should have:

  • Knowledge in EU funding projects
  • Fluency in English language
  • Be available up to 10 hours per week
