Die Goethe-Medaille 2021 geht an die kamerunische Sozialökonomin und Präsidentin der Kulturorganisation doual'art Princess Marilyn Douala Manga Bell, an den Komponisten Toshio Hosokawa aus Japan und an die Tänzerin und Choreografin Wen Hui aus China. Die Festveranstaltung findet am 28. August, dem Geburtstag Johann Wolfgang von Goethes, als digitaler Livestream statt.
