Launched in 2024, the Goethe MobiArts programme of the Goethe-Institut enables artists from Sub-Saharan Africa to travel across the continent through the Goethe-Institut network, allowing them to engage with local artistic scenes. The programme supports performing artists in the following fields: storytelling, stand-up comedy, dance, music, slam, and theatre. The objectives of the Goethe MobiArts project are to promote cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, to facilitate access to new audiences and markets, to support talents from the region, and to strengthen South-South cooperation.
