Mont Cameroun : entre Mythes et réalités [Mount Cameroon: Myths and Realities] is a sparkling, picturesque portrait of the symbols and natural, mystical or even mythical values of the enchanting “Chariot of the Gods”. An exceptional feature of Cameroon’s national heritage, this must-see mountain deserves to be known and promoted.

About the author

Evelyne NGONO à RIBAMA is a journalist and reporter who graduated top of the 11th batch of journalists of the Union of National Radio and Television Organizations of Africa (URTNA) Training Centre in Burkina Faso. She received the CNN Best African Journalist Award in the Tourism Category in Accra, Ghana in 2008 and the “Premier Prix SYAPRO” in 2009 in Burkina Faso. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Communication.

The themes covered in her book, and which could be discussed during the event, include: presentation and history of Mount Cameroon, presentation of the German heritage in Cameroon, presentation of Buea, ascension of Mount Cameroon.

APREM' DU LIVRE is a series of book signings organised by Goethe-Institut Kamerun to enable authors to become better known and increase their readership, and to enable readers to discover the latest literary productions in Cameroon. Following a call for applications, 12 authors were selected to present their works on the stage of the Goethe-Institut. The platform allows literature lovers to discuss the themes addressed in these works directly with the author*e and return with the signed book
