Since the mid‑1980s, filmmaker Peter Heller has followed the life of an African teacher for children with disabilities in rural Bavaria. A descendant of the royal family of Duala, this teacher has gradually uncovered the tragic history of injustice endured by his ancestors, approaching it with increasing depth and commitment. He has taken up the struggle against forgotten wrongs and advocates for the rehabilitation of the Cameroonian national hero Duala‑Manga Bell (Rudolf Doula Manga Bell)
