Caught between disillusionment, suffering, and loneliness, Marie struggles not to lose herself in this suffocating love. This poignant novel depicts the downfall of a woman in search of acceptance, trapped in a world where lies gradually replace hope and dreams.

Ariste Fogue, a young Cameroonian writer with a degree in banking and finance, has built a solid career in the world of figures. Passionate about literature, he uses his incisive pen to paint a picture of both the vices and the charms of contemporary society. Sous Le Masque Du Bonheur is his first novel.
L'aprèm' du livre is the monthly book presentation organised by the Goethe-Institut Cameroon. It enables authors to present their works to a broad public and to trigger dialogue with the audience. Each year, 11 authors are selected by a jury following a call for entries.
