Through the exhibition "Berlin West", the Austrian photographer Eva Maria Ocherbauer plunges into the subculture of West Berlin in the 1980s. Her photos show the nightlife of a city in extreme political situations in all its debauchery, but also increasingly marked by illness and death. Eva Maria Ocherbauer has been living in Berlin since that period. After working as a stage designer, actress, dancer and performance artist, she found herself in photography. She continues her in-depth knowledge of this medium of expression as a lecturer around the world and founded the LagosPhoto Summer School in 2013, which supports young Nigerian photographers. In Cameroon as part of the YaPhoto festival in addition to an exhibition, she will facilitate a workshop involving photographers and visual artists in Yaounde.
