As part of the Weeks of the German Language 2024, we warmly invite you to the screening of the family and children's film "Emil and the Detectives” by Franziska Buch and based on the novel of the same name by Erich Kästner.

“Emil and the Detectives” tells the exciting story of twelve-year-old Emil Tischbein, who is robbed by a crook on his way from a small town on the Baltic Sea to Berlin. Upon his arrival, he pursues the culprit and soon receives support from a clever group of children, led by Pony Hütchen. Together, they devise a plan to outsmart the thief, and a large group of children ultimately brings the criminal to justice.

The story not only showcases the courage and cleverness of the children but also highlights the power of friendship and teamwork.
