PASCH-Initiative

Playing a key role within the PASCH initiative, the Goethe-Institut makes great efforts to spark interest in learning the German language. German is to become a permanent and long-term part of the curriculum of all PASCH schools. 
 
Therefore, experts for German language work directly at many of the Goethe-Institut’s branches around the world and give advice to schools that wish to introduce or expand German as a foreign language. Moreover, the Goethe-Institut equips the PASCH schools it supports with modern materials for teaching German as a foreign language. 
 
The PASCH schools’ German teachers are eligible for methodological and didactic trainings as well as language courses provided by the Goethe-Institut. A selected number of pupils can even experience Germany for themselves during the annual PASCH youth camps. 
 
Furthermore, the Goethe-Institut raises awareness for career opportunities that arise from German language skills. Pupils of PASCH schools are encouraged to apply to study at a university or for an apprenticeship in Germany. 

Young people stay in touch with the initiative even after they took their final exams at a PASCH school. Within the PASCH alumni network, the Goethe-Institut organises alumni meetings and provides opportunities for personal interaction.
