When I first look at the cover of the book “Hunde im Future”, I thought it is another beautiful children’s picture book from Germany. The book title, when literally translated into English, means “Dogs in the future”. Hmmm, it must be a children book about dogs! But wait, there is small line behind the title…Eine Grammatik in Bildern, i.e. A Grammar book in picture.
Like many of the review said, “Hunde im Future” is like a revolution for grammar books. Who would have thought a grammar book, not to mention a grammar book for a language so complicated as German, can be so stylish, so playful and so page-turning!?
With Idea and text by Susanna and Johannes Rieder, book design by Carsten Aermes and illistrations by Arinda Cracium, “Hunde im Future” would wreck your idea for grammar books. This book enables sensual and haptic access to basic grammatical terms which, thanks to illustrations and sophisticated book design, are explained without much text. A fun and enjoyable learning journey!
