Composite Sketches SQ

Composite Sketches 2300

Exhibition opens on 12 October, 2026 (Mon) at 5:30 PM in the presence of the workshop participants and instructors.

Composite Sketches brings together the outcomes of three workshops on photography and artificial intelligence, led by Andreas Müller-Pohle, Gwenola Wagon and the Hong Kong Press Photographers Association (HKPPA). The title nods to AI, which composes its images from countless others, and to the meeting of the three groups in one show. The works are sketches: preliminary, exploratory, and open to what photography can become 200 years after its invention.

At the opening, the participants will be present to introduce their works and share their ideas and what they learned.

Organised by the Goethe-Institut Hongkong and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, in partnership with the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Press Photographers Association. Supported by the Franco-German Cultural Fund.
