In our course German Individual Online you learn German independently, accompanied by a qualified teacher. You have maximum flexibility and set your own learning rhythm.

Reading, listening, speaking, writing - this course will improve your German all along the line. You set the start date yourself and independently complete one level or one sub-level per course. Your personal schedule and individual learning rhythm determine the pace within the course period.

    Learn independently with everyday and diverse learning materials on our learning platform. You can flexibly arrange the online tasks and receive automated feedback.

  • Live Sessions

    In the two virtual live sessions you learn with your teacher. We use the conference tool ZOOM, with which you learn online just like in a face-to-face course. You practise your speaking and receive individual feedback from your teacher.

  • Mentoring

    You will receive an introduction to the conference tool. During the course, the teacher will give you regular, individual feedback on speaking and writing exercises. If you have any questions, please contact our language course office at any time

How does Deutsch Online Individual work?

You will start by taking the Goethe-Institut’s placement test. Then you will receive feedback from us about your current language level and a recommendation of which course is right for you.

Your online course is divided into various chapters that are devoted to everyday topics such as “Out and about in the city” and “Everyday interactions” at language level A1. In each chapter you will encounter typical conversational situations, full of interesting information, and practice using the correct vocabulary and grammatical structures. You learn and practice using different formats such as reading texts, matching exercises, short films, writing and speaking exercises and much more. This leads to rapid progress through more diverse and enjoyable learning.

In addition, you will arrange a time with your online teacher to meet in two live sessions online per course for communication and speaking practice. You will practice speaking German freely and train your feeling for the language.

Your online tutor will oversee your learning process via e-mail. This includes corrections and feedback to your written and verbal contributions, as well as answering your questions regarding the learning content. In this manner we can optimally support your self-learning progress.
