Scholarship holders from Germany, France and the Netherlands, who currently reside at artist residencies in Kyoto, meet for a roundtable discussion at the French Villa Kujoyama to explore this question and to strengthen the intercultural dialogue.

Participants:

Lukas Jüliger (Graphic Novel, Germany, Villa Kamogawa)
Stefan Hornbach (Literature/Drama, Germany, Villa Kamogawa)
Simone Engelen (Photography/Performance, Netherlands, Villa Kamogawa)

The discussion has been organized in cooperation with EUNIC Kansai and will be held on the open house day of the French Villa Kujoyama.

EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Cultures – is a European network of organizations for cultural relations. In June 2022, EUNIC Kansai was established on the initiative of Villa Kamogawa, Villa Kujoyama Institut Français du Japon and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Japan. The goal is to create the cultural bridge between the European Union and the Kansai region to connect cultural sectors and enable the mobility of European and Japanese artists.
