Choose our Online Group Courses if you want to learn German flexibly, in your own time and if you do not want to miss out on learning together with like-minded people. You will be able to practise and develop all four core skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The course is taught on the Goethe-Institut’s dedicated learning platform and provides access to a virtual classroom.

Are you taking one of our German courses for the first time? The placement test enables you us to find out what previous knowledge you have, define a learning objective and help you select an appropriate course.

That´s how it works

Learning platform
The online group courses are dedicated to various everyday and current topics and impart appropriate vocabulary and grammar. You learn with different online exercises, e.g. videos, pictures, audios, reading and fill-in-the-blank, both alone and in a group. We provide you with important overviews on various topics for download.
 
Support from the teacher
Longer writing assignments will be corrected by your teachers and sent back with detailed feedback. If you have any questions, you can contact your teacher via the forum or by email.
 
Online lessons in live sessions
You meet your teacher and the other participants in the live sessions, which take place bi-weekly. The live sessions will take place during the week instead. Speaking German is practiced during the live meetings.
