Following their three‑day residency at the Goethe‑Institut Niederlande, Traaffic Triangle presents a performance showcasing the outcomes of their creative process.
The trio, consisting of Tanine Kian, Nadia and Ruggero di Luisi, opens their musical research to the audience: An improvisational ecosystem of prepared piano and electronics, drums, and a CD player explores triangular interaction in which the performers are electronically linked. Individual roles dissolve into a single living sound body, even as the spatial approach treats each musician as a distinct voice. This tension heightens a sense of disorientation and brings the movement of sound through space into sharper focus.
