Launch and Music

“Outsiders” is a response to “Geniale Dilletanten,” a traveling exhibition by the Goethe-Institut co-curated by Mathilde Weh and Leonhard Emmerling that documents German subculture of the 1980s. Karachi based curator Amin Gulgee together with Zarmeene Shah and Zeerak Ahmed decided not to narrow in on a single decade but rather to look at Pakistan from the 1970s to the present day in an attempt to identify what might be considered sub/counter culture here in an attempt to instigate a dialogue about this challenging subject.
We are launching an exciting publication (for free on first come first served basis) with essays by the curators and full coverage of the exhibition.
Join us all for a relaxing afternoon at Amin Gulgee Gallery from 4-6 pm with chilled drinks and music by Tollcrane and Asfandyar.
