Join us for the 6th edition of the Weekend Culturel DÉCOLONIAL! This annual program, which takes place in October 2024, aligns with World Audiovisual Heritage Day designated by UNESCO. The IRIBA Center, in collaboration with the Goethe Institute, is excited to launch the call for projects for this cultural celebration.
The call encompasses four project categories that allows artists to choose one of the categories:
- Projects focusing on group dynamics (co-creation among artists)
- Transmission (for all ages)
- Safeguarding endangered art forms (e.g., singing, dancing, performing arts, traditional craftsmanship, aesthetic basketry)
- Promoting inclusivity (supporting talented artists lacking access to project calls due to language barriers)
Kindly note that each submitted project must be ready for presentation during the Weekend Culturel Décolonial in October 2024.
Proposals can be submitted in English, French, or Kinyarwanda. Our Call for projects is open until the 23rd of June 2024. Additionaly, Centre Iriba will hold an info session on June 6th at 4pm.
