Exam Dates

Do you need certification or a diploma for work, study, or a visa? Would you like to know the level of your knowledge of German?
There are numerous internationally recognized proficiency exams available through our institute.

Exams in Boston: Enrollment and Important Information

Exam takers should be prepared to set aside the entire day when registering for an exam. Doors open at 8:30am and exams begin at various times, and last different lengths of time. Please be prepared to be on-site from 8:30am until 5pm. Your specific exam time will be confirmed with you by email one week prior to the exam date.    
 
In order to gain entry to the exam, you must present a valid government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license, etc.,) on the day of the exam. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian has to be present for the check-in on the day of the exam.

If you think that you meet the language requirements, you can enroll for an exam at any time. Exam-takers who participate in our courses are taught language and examination-specific skills that will make it as easy as possible to pass the exam. Exam-takers who are registered for Goethe-Institut classes receive a discounted exam fee.
