Coronavirus measures for the language program

The spring semester will be held online and all exams are cancelled.

Try our Online German Course for free

Join us for a one hour, free German online lesson. We will offer one lesson each day on 05/14 at 6-7pm and  05/15 at 3-4pm. To sign up, send an email with your full name and your German language experience (e.g. beginner or advanced) to germancourses-chicago@goethe.de.

Standard German Courses

These are general language courses at A1 – C2 level for adult learners. The objectives and contents of these courses are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Specialized Courses

Are you looking for a special course for your specific interest?  At various times throughout the year, we offer Grammar Review courses, German for Reading, Conversation courses, and many more.

Private Lessons and Small Group Courses

Whether you are interested in private lessons or classes for small groups - we will be happy to work with you at the Goethe-Institut or at your office in the Chicago area.

Our Approach to Learning
