Orkut Murat Yılmaz is geomatics engineer, passionately in love with free software. He is one of the founding members of Yer Çizenler Herkes İçin Haritacılık Derneği. As an entrepreneur in the geographical information technologies domain, he is also managing R&D projects at a tech startup, GeoPerformans, providing services for corporations, universities, NGO's and government agencies.
This talk will based on open geospatial data collection and management tools, especially in emergency situations,by the collaboration of international open mapping communities. The case to be presented will be the community-driven data efforts following the Aegean Sea Earthquake in October 2020.
