Description
Sustainability means living in a way that does not harm other people or our environment. In this sense, all member states of the United Nations (UN) agreed on common goals for sustainable development with the 2030 Agenda in September 2015.
The #FutureNow project was based on these 17 goals. Schools, teachers and German learners from all over Northwest Europe and Germany dealt with the topic of sustainability and exchanged their approaches for a sustainable everyday school life.
The project produced a set of cards with project ideas on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Each card deals with one of the goals. Each goal covers large, diverse subject areas. From these complex thematic areas, we have selected a sample theme for each card. The selected topics are diverse. For example, it is about insect diversity, mental health and gendersensitive language.
Learning objectives: The students can creatively engage with selected sustainability goals and deepen their knowledge about the world together with their German skills.
