Inquiry Overview:

In this lesson students will explore how German immigrants influenced Pennsylvania culture and American life through language, food, farming, tools, and traditions. Using a Read & Annotate activity, Culture Cards, and a Culture Suitcase strategy, students analyze how cultural traits traveled from Germany to Pennsylvania and continue to shape communities today.
