The handbook presents in detail the teaching concept CLIL - Content and Language Integrated Learning - as an innovative approach to developing multilingualism. It was written on behalf of IPRASE, the Teacher Training Institute of the Province of Trento. On the one hand, the book is conceived as a theoretical basic book, and on the other hand, as a practical workbook and orientation guide for prospective CLIL teachers.

The handbook presents in detail the teaching concept CLIL - Content and Language Integrated Learning - as an innovative approach to developing multilingualism. It was written on behalf of IPRASE, the Teacher Training Institute of the Province of Trento. On the one hand, the book is conceived as a theoretical basic book, and on the other hand, as a practical workbook and orientation guide for prospective CLIL teachers. In seven chapters, the authors Franca Quartapelle, Julian Sudhoff and Dieter Wolff explain the important aspects of CLIL teaching such as competency expectations, methodological approaches, classroom organization, material design and performance assessment. For the practical part, Trentino teachers from different disciplines contribute concrete lesson plans. The handbook is aimed at all those who care about promoting multilingualism.
