Inquiry Overview:

The inquiry is designed to give students an understanding of the German electoral system. Students will learn about the structure of the German Bundestag, which is the direct representative body of the government, elected by the people. Students will analyze the significance of the two different votes granted to every citizen in the election of the Bundestag. They will also examine how Germans elect their chief executive, the German Chancellor.
