Anniversary of “Mein Weg nach Deutschland”. 10 Years of Assisting People in Their Arrival.

70 years of experience in building cultural bridges between nations – that's what the Goethe-Institut stands for. We understand how this bridge-building succeeds and how dialogue and access to a new language work. And we are more active in Germany than many people assume.

Ten years ago, “Mein Weg nach Deutschland” started with the support of spouses joining their spouses in the transitional period from their country of origin to their arrival in Germany. In the meantime, the web portal has become part of the project “Pre-Integration and Transition Management – Ensuring a Successful Migration Process”, which is aimed at new migrants who are third-country nationals and are coming to Germany for professional or private reasons.

With the web portal “Mein Weg nach Deutschland”, we have been making it easier for new migrants to get started in Germany for the past 10 years. We provide support with information on living and working in Germany in 30 languages, free German language exercises and addresses of counselling services. Everything is in one place on “Mein Weg nach Deutschland”.

We would like to thank all the authors, developers, filmmakers, graphic designers, editors and experts who have contributed to the fact that the portal has been online for 10 years now. We would like to thank the European Union for the financial support of the project, without whose funding the realisation would not have been possible.
