Nusasonic-supported duo Raja Kirik joined a lineup of international artists in a programme dedicated to expanding boundaries of all kinds, from musical conventions and traditions, instruments and techniques, histories and narratives.

Raja Kirk sees the dark, nonlinear tale of the Indonesian island of Java, where every tragedy has been repeated from century to century, as a tool to examine the past and the future. The evening’s lineup included: Andy Stott, Lyra Pramuk, Nene H and Ensemble Basiani, Duma, Antoine Chessex, Cera Khin, and Lokier. 

Raja Kirik also gave a talk in CTM’s daytime Discourse programme later in the week.
