Yaboi Hanoi

yaboi hanoi Yaboi Hanoi, real name Lamtharn “Hanoi” Hantrakul, is a Bangkok-born cultural technologist, composer and AI research scientist based between his hometown and Shanghai. 

Yaboi Hanoi has won international acclaim for his transcultural musical fiddle Fidular (Core77, A’). He co-invented the breakthrough Differentiable Digital Signal Processing (DDSP) library with the Magenta team at Google Research, leading its deployment across two Google music AI projects: Tone Transfer and Sounds of India. 

As a musician, his solo debut project yaboi hanoi combines original indie house, r&b, and homegrown media arts collaborations with Thai creatives. Hanoi holds degrees in Physics (B.S, Yale University), Music (B.A, Yale University), and Music Technology (M.S, Georgia Tech).
