Nina and the Wild Animals - Underwater Cinema for the Octopus

Secondary School (12-16 years)

In the aquarium of Pula, Croatia, octopuses are studied for their problem-solving skills. To keep them engaged, they help clean their tanks and participate in skill-based activities. Researcher Wolfgang Slany is investigating their intelligence by setting up an octopus village on the island of Krk. Nina joins as a new underwater cinema is installed, allowing the octopuses to watch a specially selected program. This experiment provides insight into their cognitive abilities and how they interact with their environment.
