Andrea Holler, M.A. media education, psychology, sociology, is a project manager and scientific editor at the International Central Institute for Youth and Educational Television (IZI) at the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR) and the PRIX JEUNESSE Foundation in Munich, Germany. Her main field of research is in the area of children, youth, and television. She organizes and conducts international studies on practical questions with regard to the production of children’s quality media, (i.a How children understand the catastrophes of Fukushima, Learning from Television or Fear, Nightmares and Thrill from TV) and formative studies to consulting producers during the development of programs (TV, radio, podcasts). She also is involved in the publication of the journal “TelevIZIon” and part of the team of “so geht MEDIEN“ [That’s How Media Works] a platform of ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio to promote media literacy.
