4^rd Edition

The Goethe-Institut Pakistan in partnership with Dawood Foundation and Dawood Public School in Karachi hosted the fourth edition of Science Film Festival in Pakistan from October 1 to December 20, 2022.

Screenings took place in two locations in the city, on the premises of Dawood Public School and in the TDF Magnifiscience Centre, accompanied with activities focusing on the theme ‘Equal Opportunities in Science’. Select films were also made available online securely for audiences all over Pakistan. The festival recorded a total of 8 147 viewers from various schools across Karachi.

Film Selection 2022

Pre-Jury

Over 30 pre-jury members with expertise in science education and science communication in the participating countries and in-depth knowledge of the local target audience are closely involved in the selection process. All films are translated and synchronized or subtitled into local languages where necessary to offer access without language barriers.
