Culture and Development

About Culture and Development

Culture and Development is a field that is internationally discussed and dealt with in diverse ways. The Goethe-Institut aims to offer access with specific cultural affinity. We seek out talent, strengthen innovative movements, and promote potentials in the arts and society. In developing countries and transition economies in particular stakeholders often work with insufficient infrastructures and under difficult conditions. The Culture and Development initiative’s programmes train cultural workers, advise cultural institutions, and network the stakeholders with one another and with relevant initiatives in Germany. Together with persons engaged in the cultural sector, Culture and Development heightens awareness of the role and the impact of the arts and culture. More...
