While territorial demarcations have become less important over the last few decades, the political decisions of the last few months seem to mark a return to national borders. Against the background of migration and growing economic disparities, the question of “What are we willing to share?” gains new urgency. Toni Negri will discuss this question with filmmaker Jean-Pierre Bekolo. Negri, born 1933 in Padua, is a neo-Marxist political scientist and a major proponent of operaismo; he is best-known internationally for the book he co-authored with Michael Hardt, Empire. Jean-Pierre Bekolo, born 1966, is one of the best-known filmmakers in Cameroon whose work engages with political and gender issues.
