Al Borde, a project led by four architects, presents an architectural residence that takes decisions by socializing ideas with different culturally active groups of the city. Al Borde is searching for a global exchange that affords and supports local particularities. The residence tries to take advantage of resources invested and prolong the impact of the ephemeral intervention. The architectural design synthesizes all variables in a spatial order through discussions in groups on concrete proposals. The design proposals take advantage of the available resources but foregrounds existent materials and structures that show up a possibility for reuse and apply do-it-yourself strategies.

Students of the MFA programme »Kunst im öffentlichen Raum und neue künstlerische Strategien/Public Art and New Artistic Strategies« of the Faculty of Art and Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, under Prof. Danica Dakić and in collaboration with Claire Waffel und Ina Weise, developed performances in order to activate AL BORDE’s new architectural design at Lichthaus Kino.
