Workshop|Language Support Through Movement in the Classroom. Eligible for Idioma credit.

Football moves people — emotionally, linguistically, and physically. In this workshop, teachers will learn how to maintain their students' attention and motivation even during longer lessons (block schedules) of 80+ minutes. The focus is on the targeted integration of movement, dynamics, and spatial design: through varied movement games, thematically coordinated movement breaks, and creative use of the classroom space, you create learning environments that promote language production and open emotional access.
We will present a variety of exercises and strategies — all in the spirit of a holistic and playful approach. Additionally, we will explore how the spatial arrangement of the classroom ("The room as a teacher") can be used to create authentic and motivating learning situations that keep long lesson blocks lively and productive.

This workshop is eligible to receive professional development hours or graduate-level credits through our partner Idioma Education & Consulting. Visit goethe.de/usa/idioma for more information.
