Tamara Bach

Tamara Bach was born in Limburg an der Lahn in 1976. She studied German and English literature in Berlin. While still studying she began to write for the theatre and television. In 1994, at the age of 17, Tamara Bach took part in the "Treffen junger Autoren" (Young Writers' Meeting) for the first time, where her work won awards and met with praise from such authors as Mirjam Pressler and Waltraut Lewin.
She made her breakthrough with her first novel, Marsmädchen (The Girl From Mars), which was published in 2003 and received several book awards.
Tamara Bach lives in Berlin.
