1990-2025: Goethe-Institut Washington

For 35 years, the Goethe-Institut Washington has been a vibrant hub for intercultural exchange, presenting a rich and diverse cultural program. Its offerings range from conferences, lectures, and discussions to film screenings, concerts across genres, author readings, and visual, theatrical, and dance productions. Over the decades, the Institute has welcomed numerous distinguished German and American artists, scholars, and intellectuals. As a key contributor to German-American cultural relations, the Goethe-Institut Washington plays a vital role in fostering transatlantic dialogue. The Art of Freedom

The Art of Freedom is an initiative of the EUNIC Cluster Washington, D.C., with the participation of the Goethe-Institut Washington. The program brings together European and American voices to explore freedom, art, and democratic dialogue.

Transatlantic Outreach Program

The Transatlantic Outreach Program (TOP) fosters dialogue and exchange between the United States, Canada, and Germany in the fields of social studies, STEM, and career and technical education.

Through high quality instructional resources, professional development workshops, and professional development study tours in Germany, TOP empowers educators to bring global perspectives into their classrooms and to explore collaborative solutions to global challenges with their students.
